12 Notes and a Billion creators

The impossible future

The most cataclysmic event is happening daily, and it is being promoted by the technologist aka ‘‘The Digerati’’ as harmless. The Digerati does not get in front of this and always pushes the plate back over the music industry by the incredible subterfuge that has been in place since Napster. The narrative is to blame the ‘‘major labels’’ who are I call not so major anymore because of the technological platforms that are in front of the music game yet maintain this backward posture that the public eats up.

The Digerati have created this to continuously feed their platforms and ultimately there ‘‘digital brains’’ aka the algorithm that the human is constantly feeding. We are the product for this Digerati. We work for free for the past two plus decades with our smile on our face due to various human conditions we possessed and have been used against us. We are mostly doing this unknowingly aka ‘‘unwilful ignorance’’. This Digerati has built a trillion-dollar economy based on free and using your keystrokes along with your content without your consent! Many may go huh who are reading this, yet this is what I am saying. Music is the fuel! Music industry Rights Holders were not compensated for many years! Music is the propellant but there is one GINORMOUS problem, it is only 12 notes!! A scarcity that can’t be solved yet this goes on every day.

Here is the permanent issue……. 12 notes for a billion plus potential creators around the globe!!!! I know one has probably thought of this, but these are the things I think about. There are only 12 notes for billions of creators! There are only 12 notes according to music theory. Everyone now is told to be a creator and create! D.I.Y is the business model that has been foisted upon on the uninformed masses. Yes, you can do D.I.Y aka do it yourself yet that is not a realistic business model because at some point you will realize that you need assistance to make it an ongoing business that is a glorified hobby! This is a ‘‘glorified hunger game’’ that Hollywood has shown us! Individuals are being told they do not need a record label! You just need to use the Digerati’s Apps and gadgetry that is available for the individual to create there dream daily! Absolutely no stopping this deluge of hopes, dreams, expectations, greed, pride and ego.

The Digerati knows that most will end lost in the ‘‘black hole’’ of the internet! Getting that ‘‘lottery hit’’ has become the latest trick to keep the proletariat chasing that impossible dream! This is why just like the state lottery people they always promote and make a spectacle of the one who does it the lottery! It gets the other masses to say to themselves see it can be done! If they can do it so, can I and people flood the lottery stores on and on. The lottery officials always give the masses hope they can be the next one!! Now isn’t this similar to the Hunger games in some way? The Digerati knows the ‘‘sheeple’’ do not understand mathematics, statistics and probability! The Digerati understands the masses of sheeple are just wondering around with blinders on while their eyes are open wide. That is the most spectacular event that happens daily.

It is not the music industry that wants all of this music! That belongs to the technologist aka The Digerati. The music industry doesn’t want all of this quote unquote hapless music swishing about the landscape. The music industry wants you to focus on their new songs not literally the millions now swishing about being released monthly. The labels, managers, and artist who are a ‘‘distinct minority’’ in this world. The creators/influencers once they dive in know how hard and harsh the music business is. This is why the Digerati I feel changed the semantics from artist to creator! There is a lot of covert/subliminal balderdash involved with that in my opinion. An artist takes his time to work on his art! A creator just creates and gets it out there. That is two different realms and now the creators who are the majority have now overrun the game. It is all now just lumped together! The Digerati is in the business of exploiting the human dynamic through the mechanism of the music.

Back to those 12 notes! Those 12 notes can only go far! It is then up to the songwriter to develop that perfect marriage! The songwriter I am saying here will become much more important in the future because of this fact. Not many individuals can do that! Meanwhile, the technologist touts fair, democratic and you do not need a label. The label is touted as the devil in the press always and the technologist as the white knight. You will be seeing more articles about that on Cultural Philosophical Fireworks on that subject in the future so please stay tuned. The construct of the label has been instrumental in the greatest modern music is never touted as useful but a necessary evil. I will ask here what artist has the technologist created? Please pause and deliberate on that.

Now that billions do have access now and take those 12 notes to create something that has mostly been shown to be disposable. It is something not necessarily art or something of greater value. Now you can possibly understand why Google via You Tube has created this grim, bleak, and dystopian world of no one dislikes your song on You Tube because it feeds this ongoing false reality. However, this is great for this ongoing feeding frenzy for their digital brain. Ultimately these people do not enter the music business when they find out it is a business.

Those 12 notes don’t have the capability to support all of this output of hopes that is being produced. Many of these people have been told incorrect information and insight. We as a society now do not have the time to interface with all of these ‘‘outputs of dreams, expectations, hopes and false expectations’’. Music is a craft, an art which is slow cooked. It is not something you just wake up and do even though it is depicted as such. It is depicted as such by the Digerati to generate more feeding of their digital brain. Music is the perfect tool that the Digerati saw a few decades ago! The most important thing is they didn’t pay for it when they launched!

I need to swing back to the ‘‘major label’’ here for a moment to bring deeper clarity. I decided to look up the most valuable major record label which is Universal Records. At peak it was around fifty billion! Now let’s look at Apple, Amazon, Facebook, You Tube and Spotify? Spotify is the one very dependent upon music yet now it calls itself an audio company because it has been purchasing podcast companies and of Joe Rogan. Spotify has seen its stock tumble to twenty something billion and is the only one that Universal beats in terms of market capitalization.

In closing, music has value but not in the immense financial value. It does have immense cultural and humanistic value which the world obviously can’t live without. However, those 12 notes and the human diaspora are seen as steppingstones and doormats to the Digerati. Those 12 notes were instrumental in creating all of this incessant madness. These 12 notes work hard yet get so little. When you are listening to whatever music think of those 12 notes!! I wish to ask something of you here: If you had to choose those 12 notes over the Digerati’s technology, gadget etc. Which would you choose? Which would make the world a more happy, beautiful place to be in? Now what will your mind allow you to do.
