The promotion of the idea is somehow intelligent continues to baffle.

Computers have a vast wealth of knowledge, it is the world"s most extensive library but still doesn't include all books.

Computers are amazing calculators and can be used in all kinds of analytic mathematematical and other types of analysis.

But computers only learn what is input into them which to my knowledge is all been imputted by humans.

But if people can be convinced that they are smarter or could actually "learn" as such, without having any human input....therein lies the danger...therein is HAL.

While it cannot be denied that some young men find masturbating to Internet videos preferable to developing human relationships and that similar degenerates invent more and more lifelike robotic sex toys, the "sudden" arrival of AI has created unnecessary turmoil. Yes, just as one puff off a crack pipe can turn some people into addicts, the availability of information (and disinformation) from Internet's Artificial Intelligence can (and does) prevent us from solving problems while absorbing information that is being fed to us by nefarious sources. Consider the fact that BING's AI (Co-Pilot) refuses to answer any questions about Joe Biden.

On the other hand, if there is a lyric or a part of a line from a 90-yr-old song that you'd like to connect with the title, the writer, and the artist, AI can save a lot of time.

Just don't let it replace the dream that is our 3-dimensional life.
