The algorithm is the ‘‘invisible drug addict’’ we do not see. The addiction is keystrokes that then lead to data. This feeding of this addiction goes on 24/7 and the human (us) are the tool and the fuel. The genius of the ‘‘Digerati’’ is that they have made all of us a tool to keep feeding its ultimate product. Think about Pacman for a moment! Remember how in the game of Pacman it would just go around gobbling up all that was in its path……well think of the algorithm as a ‘‘invisible Pacman’ and what we do all day every day is feed it.
Every day we wake up and start feeding the ‘‘beastly algorithm’’ by logging on. Without us tools the beastly Algorithm starves to death. the Digerati always changes the Algorithm also which creates a new feeding frenzy every time it does so. How I view it this means you are not in control of your vision! The human now is chasing the tail. #Stopchasingtrends. The Algorithm makes you a follower! You are always playing from behind and not getting ahead. It breeds #Shortcuts and makes the human seek out that idea of the shortcut. This also makes you a copy and breeds copying which is the reverse of creativity that the #Digerati claims it enhances. We are suffering through an ongoing time of unoriginality. It is rampant all over us.
This feeding of the Algorithm has deactivated the connection to the artist. What it does feed is ‘‘disposal creativity’’. We now see the byproduct all over the place. Now with A.I and text machine learning coming of age we will see more of this disposable creativity. This long descent from artistry to disposal creativity will be enhanced and flood the marketplace. All you have to do is look at the music business and you see the future. The song economy has devalued the song because of the over abundant supply of songs by creators not artist.
The Algorithm via these platforms has folks chasing the game not playing the game. This is why you now Tik Tok giving the appearance of leading the success of the song/creator versus it being about the human. This is why it is so much harder to build a solid artist. The Digerati has folks chasing platforms not chasing their profession. This strategy allows the platform/algorithm leading your success and not yourself. I am introducing here the #Thirdpartysyndrome.
Humans are stars because they have emotions that comes with a pulse! that leads to imagination. An app/algorithm does not. The human artist has that unknown factor which provides that difference. The app/algorithm is a data muncher which does not feel. I am calling this inner tech (human heart) versus outer tech the machine (artificial brain). The human factor is grey, and the app/machine is black/white or either or.
Algorithms from the human perspective are to be viewed as ‘‘sometimey’’ and does not care that it is. Humans care but Algorithms do not. This means that our future world will be increasingly non caring. Please be aware of what is being said here and apply to your vision to the world, so you understand what you are looking at. If you have not started prepping yourself for this, then please start now. make no mistake the Algorithms job is to elevate/escalate or amplify what it needs to push to keep users(people) coming back or more importantly staying where they are. Essentially, we will live in a world increasingly where we are just feeding the needs of these Algorithms. Just think of this Algorithm aka digital brain having this production line mindset. It is there to keep you on the production line of making keystrokes to keep feeding this data to itself.
In closing, the algorithm is only about harvesting the human provided bounty of data. We are the ‘‘digitalfarmanimals’’ that Digerati keeps seducing us with this free content. The true artist goal is to be the trend not to follow the trend provided. If you do not understand that last sentence, then you are a #digitalfarmanimal without your knowledge. Be the trend so you will live continuously do not follow the trend which leads to death quickly. Now what will your mind allow you to do.
