When I grew up education was the way in America. We were trying to improve people for sake of improving. It was a purity in education. There was the emphasis was put on making the individual better. The message was all through society. All through the school system. I remember my teachers in public school so vividly in the 1970’s when NYC was at its worst. The teachers cared immensely, and they were professionals that I reflect on randomly throughout my life. It just wasn’t a job that now it appears to have become now in this era. We are in now in a place where caring has become something that is a rarity!
I remember my teachers putting in the extra time to make sure we got it! There was not here is the book and teach yourself that I have heard from children in school now. The teachers were allowed to teach prior also! They had the autonomy to showcase themselves and knowledge. I say that because each individual brings something to the table. We were encouraged to learn constantly always. That is where I get a lot of #learnhard from. Again, this was public school. I remember some of my classmates didn’t have the most conducive home life for learning. The school with those teachers were a sanctuary for some of my classmates.
Now let’s get granular with the definition of education so we can dial in: 1) The process of receiving or giving systemic instruction, especially at school or university. 2) the theory and practice of teaching. 3) A body of knowledge acquired while being educated. 4) Enlightening experience.
Let’s go to indoctrination: 1) the process of teaching a person or group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically. 2) Indoctrinated person is expected not to question or critically examine the doctrine they have learned.
I have watched the transition from the love of education as we have steam rolled to the haze of indoctrination. Education creates and independent functional individual who has the capability to think for themselves. You were challenged to think for yourself. You were to question what was in front of you! We are now in the time of indoctrination in the 2020’s and it is the opposite of that last sentence prior. You are not told to educate yourself but to be a follower. You are told to accept what is in front of you. Follow without questioning. As we continue this covid embedded lifestyle this quote stands out immensely from Mark Twain: IT IS MUCH EASIER TO FOOL PEOPLE THAN IT IS TO CONVINCE THEM THEY HAVE BEEN FOOLED. Please let’s pause and reflect on this quote. Deep breathe it in. This quote defines why education is very crucial to our progression as a society. This is why indoctrination needs to be confronted. The person under indoctrination isn’t thinking for themselves. They are just puppets of repeating. We must remove ourselves from repeating and regurgitating blindly.
The world we now live in now is trusting and respecting the source blindly as we live in the time of ‘‘if it is on a screen, it must be true’’ syndrome. We have to go back to questioning what is in front of us! We must remember the old fashion smell test! Education leads to discernment! Indoctrination leads to ignorance, stupidity, imprudence, and inability. Indoctrination is the easy way out! This is why this N.W.O = new world order is rolling through society globally. I see even in the college grads the level of indoctrination is rampant. Instead, I am introducing the term ‘‘college indoctrinated’’ to replace college educated during the 2020’s. You read it here first!
Indoctrination is based on ‘‘microwaveable knowledge’’. In this digital age it is plenty of that type of knowledge. Education is an ongoing slow grind of learning and since we know co-exist in the land of immediate this will continue, I feel. What do you think? Indoctrination is led by fears which is to induce a specific special effect! During March 2020 to our present time, we are now living in a bastion of indoctrination. Like being in a deep valley of indoctrination metaphorically! Now what will your mind allow you to do.
