Outside encouragement is a useful tool that is especially good for children but also adults. Ultimately age is not a signal that an individual doesn’t need what is defined as validation. This is a question of your ‘‘inner value’’ which is something so many do not consider when making decisions or thoughts that matter.
However, if we are consistently and overwhelmingly seeking that external validation it can lead to a disempowering exercise that comes off as a positive tool. I am stating that it is a negative based tool. You must have the gumption to plow ahead based on your inner intestinal fortitude. This does not say you just do not listen, but you must have the inner discernment and clarity. You must drive yourself and believe in yourself. The outside source does not know what is inside of you.
Due to the coming up on two decades of living with social media of followers, likes and shares we are now being trained to always seek outside approval. I need you to pause and reflect. This is now ingrained in our society for better or worse! We are always buying things we may not need to impress others which is quite irrelevant to you as an individual.
In closing, No one or nothing can give you what you can’t give yourself. It is time to spend more time giving yourself what you need. Now what will your mind allow you todo.
