Listening the 21st century Samurai Weapon
Stop spewing unnecessary emotions

In this age of ongoing information overload under the guise of empowerment it is time to do the opposite of what the Digerati wishes you to do. It is time to do the opposite…….#LISTEN. With the daily delusion of media evoking everyone to say something we have become a society who feels we have a voice without earning that voice via merit. Everyone feels they must be on Twitter or Tik Tok spewing insight or is it just an attempt to go viral and get noticed on your way to being a influencer in this network based economy.
With all of us pushing our voice including myself who is listening? I would assume it must be a shortage of listeners! Who is listening if the masses are pontificating and filibustering? That is the relevant question isn’t it! Well I am listening because that is the only way I learn. I look to listen because I need perspective that is not my own!
My theorem is we are currently in an inverted reality world especially here in the U.S.A. This means it is of critical importance to do the opposite! It is the opposite to listen which is what most do not do. In debates you must listen and that is why debate has been on a decline in this cultural Marxist society we have evolved too unannounced. Debate doesn’t exist in Marxist/Fascist society constructs. It is #MYWAYORTHEHIGHWAY.
We do not listen/comprehend with what is being said because we are busy typing or waiting to speak or podcast, blog aka doing all the ‘#memememe (music scale) like we are at the opera. Listening will become the Samurai sword in this era. Being able to shut up and listen….. what type of price do we put on that? Something as novel as that! Old fashion shut up and listen. The more things change the more they stay the same.
Think about A.I…. What does it really do? It listens doesn’t it! isn’t the world being led by A.I as we move forward into the this present future? Yet we are told to empower ourselves….. #Speakyourpowersyndrome. What a game the Digerati has played on us. Genius! A.I is just listening isn’t it….getting more smarter as the days go by. That is the modern Samurai.
In our current society we are do much more hearing than listening. We hear things by default but that doesn’t mean we are listening. Listening requires attention, comprehension and to focus by recalling…… Utilizing our memory. According Maryville edu blog there are four there are four types of listening:
Deep listening - Occurs when the individual is committed to understanding those other perspective. This type of listening involves paying attention to verbal and non verbal was being used. Examples are the semantics being utilized, body language and especially the tone of voice.
Full listening - Involves paying close and careful attention to what the speaker is conveying. The listener using active listening technique! You can be paraphrasing what’s been said by a speaker. This listening is very effective by college students who are in the lectures of professors.
Critical listening - This is the biggie! This must always be utilize in this time period. We must always have this systemic reasoning and careful thought to analyze the message in front of you. In this age agendas/indoctrination and Op-ed type of listening is a must! In fact it is a weapon of deterrence so you will be in the position of clarity must be able to tell fact from opinion. We are not in a time of journalistic integrity and objectivity. We are in a time of pure subjectivity.
Therapeutic listening - is the basis of any healthy and thriving relationship with another individual. It is about the allowance of a friend, colleague, or family member to discuss there problems. This type of listening involves a lot of non verbal cues such as nodding or maintaining eye contact.
The crux of it all being said here is being present and attentive in the moment. Your mind must be where you are not running around elsewhere in a serious space odyssey. The end
