Machines are efficient
Humans are not
As we go deeper into this machine and AI landscape, we will become less human! I already see this taking place. For me this is quite frightening because without our humanity what are we? Where do we go from here if this trend, I see goes deeper without acknowledging this? Losing our humanity will be the downfall of the human species in mass.
You may say why I am I using such a moving word as frightening? I see the elements of the human species treating the technology/machines/AI god like from the 90’s till now. It is right in front of you are seeing not just looking. I see all around me that humans are not using their brain/mind for simple things like remembering their own phone number. They must use an app to remember an appointment. Just those simple yet important things.
Why are human beings being judged using the word efficiency which is built for machines? Humans are not efficient they are human! In fact, let’s look at the definition of the word efficiency so we can get the true clarity on this situation: 1) (especially of a system) or machine achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense. 2) Preventing the wasteful use of a particular resource. 3) productive of desired effects.
Humans are not efficient in my eyes. We are not machines yet over the past thirty years, I have seen the dramatic increase in that word being attached to the human. I have witnessed the ongoing glorification of the machine and the lessening of the human. This is not by accident. The machine has become the romantic figure! The human now is a mere after thought as time goes forward. The human now is treated like a byproduct. We are supposed to marvel at artificial intelligence. We must remember that the human if used and maintained correctly is much more solid than a machine can ever be.
Humans created machines which is quite fascinating when now we are to be always going ooh and ahh about the latest machine or gadget! At the end of the day a human created that machine! Until a machine creates a human then I might be impressed. The human reproduces on its own. It is all built in! Even after all this time human scientists do not fully understand the human body! We do not understand ourselves! I feel we should spend more time on us don cha think!
In closing, the machine is built for efficiency the human is built for amazing at the end of the day all of this built around control. Nothing more nothing less. Certain interests feel the human is not controllable enough in their futu
re vision. Now what will your mind allow you to do!
