We are at a historic sequence of events happening very quickly that when folks get out of a stupor they may realize. I have come to learn for most what doesn’t affect them immediately they brush off. That can be a good trait because it seems maybe less what is labeled stress will be in your life. I however disagree with that premise because then you are setting yourself up for the big ‘‘banana peel’’!
Society as a whole is now in an ongoing reinvented and fluidly updated economy that will be on what I like to call an automated updating without a press release or press conference being utilized. Labor is being decoupled from the economic structure with the increasing use of A.I! More and more it will become A.I and capital. So instead of asking how many workers you may ask how much A.I is needed. It will be now Labor/capital/A.I. Economic theory is at a combustible moment.
I will say business new profit center will be how much labor cost can be cut so that the company can show profit that much easier. During the 2020’s that will be said in many C-suites around the nation and for that matter the globe. Executives are going in on the A.I because it is the low hanging fruit! Saving cost via comparing the cost of labor versus the cost of A.I will be in every executive suite on a daily basis.
In the content business/media business this will be flooding all C-suites and budget meetings heavily. I myself are already compiling the effects. Also, the word I call the ‘‘E-WORD’’ aka efficiency will be in more corporate speak over the next three years without a doubt. By 2025 I am forecasting our economy will be in a totally different position. The concept of a job will be in a totally different position. That is something I bring up in my next narrative!
Here are some examples that have just happened that I found on https://www.digi.com where the CFO’s made defining statements. The CFO at Gannett said during the company’s earnings call that significant annual savings through ‘‘A.I efficiencies will be created. Jonah Perretti of Buzzfeed said A.I powered content will move from R &D to a core business practice during his company’s earning call.
What is said above will impact the many yet very silently and unexpectedly. I am stating here it is time to get in front of this malevolent trend. Please do not wait for the grim reaper is about to knock on your door. We are in another new paradigm! Even the ostrich whose head is in the ground will have to see this trend of brutality. The real compelling thought will be now is what percentage of labor will be on the liability side of the balance sheet from here on out. You better be realistic about your job and or profession if you are on the labor side of the table.
At the end of the day…. In society we are now in a new extremely competitive format! That thing that was for your convenience is now competing with you in the labor market. Convenience is a very dangerous word that from now on should be looked at multi-dimensional especially when the ‘‘The Digerati’’ says it. My main question to you is how do you compete against A.I? How will you combat this thing you do not necessarily touch or has a pulse? Now what will your mind allow you to do.
