The First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Boy these are powerful words aren’t they! They are comforting and also cause an overwhelming comfort that has led to hardening of arteries of many of us metaphorically. When I lived in London while in pursuit of a musical dream, I learned that for all its coolness there was no freedom of speech. If you look around this globe that amendment differentiates America and what it means to be an American. With that amendment it is incumbent for you as an individual to utilize it not just for foolishness but for seriousness!

It appears that that amendment has been taken for granted and it is being usurped covertly in such a intelligent way. Utilizing ignorance. Human ignorance is the greatest threat to any society. Ignorance leads to misunderstanding which then leads to unnecessary fears because of the misunderstanding of what is in front of you.

Part of starting Creative Philosophical Fireworks was for myself to get over the fears. Challenge self censorship which is racing through our society at the moment. This goes against that amendment. However, certain interest have utilized a genius way around it by utilizing the private corporations. I am especially speaking about social media giants. We know them…… I do not have to say the names. Those companies are De-facto arms of government because if you know the hidden history your taxpayers dollars were instrumental in starting this stuff and now the private corporation does not have to follow the first amendment. Look at the wording! It is genius. It is starts with Congress shall not….. It doesn’t say Facebook or Google.

With now censorship rampant your first amendment rights have been destroyed right in front of you without many giving it a thought because we are infatuated with our own narcissism. In London I realize it was a privilege to have a First Amendment. Others do not. Please remember you do if it applies to you.
