It is very interesting to monitor AI's need of energy. That brings attention to a vulnerability that is not discussed enough and a problem that will keep accelerating as we integrate AI in all industries and processes. I also think that it is a good moment to honor and notice the productivity and efficiency of humans. We can produce a wealth of inputs for fraction of the energy that an AI needs. I find this fascinating.

Great post. Competing AI databank superservers are built on the "gas guzzler". They suck energy from three domains: solar energy harvesting + SMR's exactly as you describe, plus massive amounts of terrestrial water from streams and aquifers. Water and sunlight in the right proportion are the twin sources of "natural intelligence" required for the viability of all ecosystems. Massive amounts of water are being diverted towards AI server cooling systems. AI servers contribute the most towards global warming and threaten to desertify the planet.
