This may be your best article so far, AK. i get that futurism mag now too cuz of you. Also, Technocracy Today just had a piece on the NEW West Virginia data center that took over a valley and encroaches on all the surrounding natural beauty. This is not the data center they already have, but a brand new killer infrastructure! Ok, enough of me here. i hope and pray your phone problem worked out somehow in your favor.
Thanks for that. I just wish to impact the everyday person that is concerned with getting up and going to work.... still think that is enough. Thanks for sharing about West Virginia. This is about land now also. The natural resources being put into something false and artificial.. Never enough of you. You spread goodness. Still in the battle zone with T- Mobile. Thanks for asking
spending nearly all of the last 40 years researching, writing about, and getting shunned by not only the media and "environmentalists, you don't know the half of it. I have tombs of papers that total some 60,000 pages on each of the points I am about to make. Over 200,00 pages in some.
Point one: All energy that is natural does in fact renews the environment of the earth.
Point two: When any energy is transformed into an energy production system it is no longer natural. ANY ENERGY, including solar, wreaks havoc and alters the environment when it is formulated into a system to collect that energy and form into another form of energy.
Point Three: The energy efficiency is often shrugged off as unimportant, but that's like saying it wouldn't be important if half of your body's energy were siphoned from it, then you would need to burn twice as many calories to achieve the energy your body needs. That is what all energy systems that are created by man to control energy achieve accomplish. To control energy, even by such means as solar takes more than twice as much energy than the energy originally expended by the sun and the process of creating that energy always forces an environmental readjustment and there is just no environmentally sound energy when man implants his control over that energy.
If we cannot learn that we can only use less energy than we have without attempting to control it in a way to manufacture more energy then we cease to be because we run out of energy, even the energy we need to survive.
No one wants to hear that..and environmentalists groups have told me for years that if we actually explained these truths to people the environmental incentives would evaporate.
So be it, if we don't our attempts to control the environmental will soon enough evaporate us not into the dust we were but into the gasses that are the only thing that remains of what had been an energy rich environmental that had been earth.
It took me time to digest what you have said here Ken. 40 years of researching and writing.... That is insane to read. It appears that people do not wish to find a solution of any sort? So what are we really doing then? Point three is astounding! Ken I will circle back to this with you next year when I get some time..... Amazing
I originally began my column to try to explain how the environment actually works. We do one thing...irrigate one among the first things that began to alter the environment; this effected not only the water returning (only about half of evaporated water returns as rain the other half ascends into the greenhouse gas layer) but this also upset the balance of the earth which forced a greater bulging towards the center. Slight at first, then it began to melt the remaining ice caps---and this began not with industrial age fossil fuel use but 7000 years ago with the first irrigation systems that drained water through early forms of damming. Of course big dams have caused ground water to sleep further into the ground and now recent studies have shown that this is causing massive interference with the earth's tectonics that will end up reshaping the land masses as the water seeping into the deeper levels of the earth will eventually cause a reshifting of the land masses. The result of course is anyone's guess.
Mining into the ground and pulling minerals from the ground affects the magnetism of the earth.
The earth shifted its magnetic pole fairly regularly every 17,000 years but hasn't for twice that length of time. Why? Not mining because we haven't been mining that long, but the drilling is currently affecting the magnetism and the center is cooling. Not good. And there does seem to be new magnetic weakening in the south Pacific.
What we do to "tame" the land affects the water and then that affects the atmosphere but I do not think we have any way of knowing what is going to happen except that something will happen. The dust bowl in the 1930's was largely caused by overusing windmills in the American Midwest.
Currently the big solar electrical panels in California have killed every living thing on the surface for about fifty miles within their vicinity. That seems to include most microscopic life forms as well.
When energy is offered to us to do almost everything we consume more and more. The new AI facilities are challenging not just our grids which will need even more manufactured energy at the same time draining more of our water supply and once again affecting the core by shifting the earth's center. Too much construction continues to create bulges and it has to break. We probably won't know what is going to happen. Doggerland appears to have occurred overnight; like any town buried beneath a volcano, an entire portion of Europe broke off and most of it was submerged. Doggerland was once thought a myth but we will now know that is what happened.
The environment will eventually shift without us but most of the things we do to the earth are increasing the timing of a great catastrophe and it's already way too late to prevent whatever is going to happen. But instead of preparing we go blindly forth trying to alter the earth's systems seemingly unable to recognize that we can change things but cannot change the consequences because they occur in the blind spot of our journey towards environmental control.
So much for net zero, climate change, blah blah. I can see a future where energy is rationed, for ordinary folks of course. The AI grift is powering ahead.
Definitely the grift is expanding you are correct! People are just overwhelmed with life. Things are so unnecessary but folks will not know that. It is quite interesting
The grid was not built for all of this new stuff. It is obvious we need another grid. I assume that these interests didn't have the foresight to understand this and now are putting it all on the masses to subsidize this stuff.
Thank you for the thought on this. I just attempt to write for the everyday person that is overwhelmed with survival while things are happening that impact them. Glad it connected with you.
trickcity ... Thats a good one! lol. We as human beings are electrical beings. That is never told us. With that said a voyage and journey on what it means to be human needs to take place asap for the mass of humanity. Folks are to busy in the borg from the Silly Con Valley perspective

Between Bitcoin mining and AI, we're putting a strain on the grid.
The grid was not built for all of this new stuff. It is obvious we need another grid. I assume that these interests didn't have the foresight to understand this and now are putting it all on the masses to subsidize this stuff.
This is so meticulously written. Beautiful work in articulating the issue so well.

I too ponder if ELectricity is the difference between being human & transhuman (cyborg). Sure looks that way.
The EL-ectricK god of A I in an electronic universe?
Excellent article.

well said....
okay....hmmm
